Darren Housholder is an excellent guitarist and a graduate of Berklee School of Music. He also was a faculty member of Berklee teaching Modern Rock Guitar. He clearly knows his jazz licks but these albums definitely rock. Housholder covers the gamut of techniques and styles. Guitar magazine called Darren a "thoroughly modern player with sass, sparks and control."

Generator Man has several good songs, but sometimes suffers from the home studio sound and the use of drum machines. A good mix of heavier songs and feel-good boogies.

Olaf Lenk's Food - Fun Stuff (2000)

Fun Stuff is Olaf Lenk's (At Vance Guitarist & Mastermind) solo CD, recorded and released in 2000, with keyboardist Don Airey, bassist Oliver Glassl and drummer Franco Zuccaroli. Basically all instrumental, with a couple of 'vocalisms' and soundbites added on a couple of tracks, guitar fans will appreciate the 'Vai-like' and 'Satriani-esqe' touches.

Wojciech Hoffmann - Drzewa (2003)

Wojciech Hoffmann (Born 1 February 1955 in Brzeg Dolny) - is one of the best guitarists there are in Poland. His career began in the early '80s, when he was one of the co-founders of the band's TURBO.

Craig Goldy's Ritual - Hidden In Plain Sight (1991)

Craig Goldy (born on November 6, 1961) was the last guitarist in the band Dio.

Before Dio, he played in the bands Vengeance, Rough Cutt, and Giuffria. He replaced Jake E. Lee in Rough Cutt and was himself replaced by Amir Derakh in this group. Prior to joining Rough Cutt, he had played in the band Vengeance. Reportedly, Rough Cutt recorded some demos with Craig Goldy, but he left the band before they got a record deal and recorded their first album. Ronnie James Dio had produced at least two Rough Cutt songs when Jake was still in the band ("A Little Kindness" and "Used And Abused"), and Ronnie and his wife Wendy both co-wrote some songs on the first Rough Cutt album, which was recorded after Craig Goldy left the band.

Shortly after leaving Rough Cutt, Goldy would join Giuffria, the eponymous band of former Angel keyboardist, Gregg Giuffria. Performing on Giuffria's self-titled debut album, released in 1984, Goldy is heard on the band's biggest hit, "Call to the Heart," which hit #15 on the Billboard charts in early 1985.

The Earl Slick Band - Razor Sharp (1976)

Earl Slick (born Frank Madeloni in Staten Island, New York,1 October 1952) is a guitarist best known for his collaborations with David Bowie, Jim Diamond and Robert Smith, although he has also worked with other artists (John Lennon: Double Fantasy, Milk and Honey, Yoko Ono), John Waite, and even released some solo recordings.

In the early 1970s, Earl Slick gained his reputation on New York music scene as a talented, skillful rock guitarist while playing in a band called Mack Truck featuring both singer/songwriter Jimmy Mack and his brother drummer Jack Mack. His work with Scottish singer/songwriter Jim Diamond was as the duo Slick Diamond. They did some tours and performances for a short time in the late 1970s.
Slick was initially hired by David Bowie to replace Mick Ronson as lead guitarist for the Diamond Dogs tour in 1974 (the live album David Live was culled from this tour). Slick also performed lead guitar on Bowie's Young Americans and Station To Station albums, released in 1975 and 1976 respectively. It was Slick's powerful playing that made the latter album's "Stay" an enduring favourite of fans of Bowie and of guitar heroics alike. After running afoul of Bowie's management, Slick was replaced as lead guitarist for the Station To Station tour (1976), his role being taken by Stacey Heydon. Slick then became a hired gun, working for Leo Sayer, Ian Hunter, John Lennon, and Yoko Ono. He also formed his own solo band.

Slick returned to Bowie for 1983's Serious Moonlight tour, to support the Let's Dance album. Ironically, Slick, who was ousted as lead guitarist from Bowie's 1976 tour, was the last-minute lead-guitarist replacement for Bowie's 1983 tour (substituting for Stevie Ray Vaughan).

Stevie Ray Vaughan - The Sky Is Crying (1991)

The Sky Is Crying is an electric blues album containing studio performances spanning most of the career of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Released about one year after Vaughan's death in 1990, the album features ten tracks originally recorded between 1984 and 1989.
The Sky Is Crying illustrates many of Vaughan's musical influences, including songs in the style of traditional Delta blues, Chicago blues, jump blues, jazz blues, and Jimi Hendrix. The album's tone alternates primarily between uptempo pieces and gritty, slow blues. The album includes a Grammy-winning extended instrumental cover version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing"; "Chitlins con Carne", a jazz instrumental; and "Life by the Drop", an acoustic guitar performance whose lyrics were written by Vaughan's friend Doyle Bramhall. This song is not about Vaughan's struggle with drug abuse, as many think, but actually about Vaughan's friendship with Doyle Bramhall from Bramhall's perspective.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - In The Beginning [Live](1992 )

In the Beginning is an electric blues album performed live by Stevie (Ray) Vaughan and Double Trouble (the stage name at that time did not include Vaughan's middle name). While the album was released about two years after Vaughan's death in 1990, the actual performance took place on April 1, 1980 at Steamboat 1874 in Austin, Texas, and was broadcast live on KLBJ-FM radio. A 25-year-old Vaughan, still more than three years away from the release of his first studio album, performs with his "Double Trouble" bandmates: Chris Layton, drummer, and Jackie Newhouse, bassist. (Newhouse was replaced by bassist Tommy Shannon in January 1981, who would remain part of Double Trouble until Stevie's death.)

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Family Style (1989)

Family Style is a blues-rock album by the Vaughan Brothers, released September 1990. The album features the brethren guitarists and vocalists, Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan, in their first — and last — studio collaboration. In his early years, Stevie Ray Vaughan often remarked that he would like to do an album with his brother. He fulfilled that wish in his very last studio performance. The liner notes end with "Thanks Mama V. for letting us play."

Stevie Ray Vaughan - In Step (1989)

In Step is the fourth studio album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble released in 1989. The title In Step can be seen as referring to Vaughan's new-found sobriety, following the years of drug and alcohol use that eventually led Vaughan into rehabilitation. It was also Vaughan's final album with Double Trouble. In 1990, he recorded a collaboration album with his brother, Jimmie Vaughan, called Family Style; later that year, Stevie Ray Vaughan died in a helicopter crash.
