Mattsson - Another Dimension (2000)

Lars-Eric Mattsson was discovered in 1985 by Mike Varney, and was eventually given the opportunity to record a four-track EP. In 1988 Mattson released his debut album, Eternity.
Having released a couple of solo albums, he formed the band Vision, whose 1992 eponymous debut album would be quite successful, primarily in Japan. Recordings for a follow-up album were scrapped as the band split up. Mattsson joined forces with Baltimoore singer Björn Lodin in Astral Groove, who released their first and only album in 1995.
Vision reformed in 1996 and recorded the album Till the End of Time. After this, Mattsson decided to record his first solo album since 1991. The result was 1998's Obsession, which also featured Lodin on vocals.
The follow-up album, Another Dimension, was released in 2000 under the Mattsson moniker. He has since released several solo albums, as well as a studio album with Vision (On the Edge (2004)).

In addition to releasing solo albums and working with Vision, Mattsson has also released albums with Condition Red (featuring, among others, Derek Sherinian) and Book of Reflections, and he has also made numerous guest appearances and tribute albums.
Mattsson also runs his own record label, Lion Music, on which he releases most of his albums.
